Autonomic Relaxation
Two variations of a technique to relax deeply
The two audio tracks in this post are slightly different versions of a relaxation technique.
The method was developed in Europe in the early 1900’s and called Autogenic Therapy. This relaxation method was part of that. The method is designed to relax several branches of the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems.
The techniques involve repeating a simple phrase mentally while letting the body respond however it happens to respond. You are not “making” your body relax or respond in any particular manner. The key is to “think and let”.
Once you have the phrases memorized you can use the technique without using the audio tracks.
As always if you feel any discomfort before or after using the technique then stop using it.
